Booking Change / Cancellation Policy: Cancel or change your trip for another without charge to 60 days before departure for a full trip credit until December 1, 2022.

Change without Fees: If you book now but have to cancel your trip, you’ll receive a travel credit in the full amount you paid for your vacation that can be used for any CTAG destination or itinerary in the future.  If hotel or other lodging prices are higher at the time of rebooking, you will have to pay the difference. Havana Long Weekend Itinerary

DAY 1 USA – Havana   Private Residence (or Hotel option)

• Flights USA to Havana
• Airport greeting by Guide and Drive; transfer to Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage City
• Enjoy snacks and drinks with people-watching at Plaza Vieja
• Specialist-guided art, architecture, cultural, history, photography walking tour of Old Havana

          *  Visit Havana's four main plazas: Plaza Vieja, Plaza de las Armas, Plaza San Francisco and Plaza Catedral

• Lunch at café with University of Havana political science professor
• Continue walking tour of Old Havana, with visits to Parque Central, Museum of the Revolution and Havana Fine Arts Museum
• Dinner at paladar, one of Havana's best private family-run restaurants that have fueled rapid economic growth since 2008
• Musical evening on the streets of Old Havana (or optional Tropicana Nightclub show***)

DAY 2

• Breakfast at lodging
• Salsa dance lesson
• Classic American car tour of greater Havana – 1 ½ hours ending on the Malecon, Havana’s social gathering place, then a brief walk to the iconic Hotel Nacional, HQ of the Cuban Revolution, home to the Mob, Mafia, international movie stars and glitterati through Havana’s “Roaring ‘50’s”
• Café lunch, free time
• Visit the Havana community of Jaimanitas for a walking tour through “Fusterlandia,” neighborhood ceramic art project of “The Picasso of Cuba” Jose Fuster
• Free time
• Dinner at paladar
• Music and art at Fabrica de Arte Cubano, in 2019 voted Time Magazine’s Top 100 World Destinations

DAY 3

• Breakfast at lodging
• Walk in the shoes of a typical Cuban, visit rations store, auto repair shop, local market
• Cooking and mojito lesson at a private villa followed by lunch enjoying dishes created
• Transfer to Callejon de Hamel, the Havana home of Cuba’s predominant Santeria spiritual faith (akin to Haiti’s Voodoo)
• Enjoy the celebration of Santeria featuring high-tempo percussion, music & dance
• Tour the amazing Spanish Colonial architecture of Cemeteria de Colon, one of Cuba’s most visited sites
• Free time
• Dinner at paladar
• Evening of Jazz above the Malecon at our favorite live jazz club or - Sunday-only late-night salsa dance frenzy and show on the Malecon at Club 1830

DAY 4

• Breakfast at lodging
• Take a short ferry boat ride across the Harbor to deliver gifts of badly-needed OTC medical supplies and children’s medicines (from our list) to the community of Regla
• Lunch at café
• Tour Ernest Hemingway’s Estate, Finca Vigia (“vigil farm”) on a hilltop overlooking greater Havana
• Visit Cuba’s huge indoor arts & crafts warehouse featuring hundreds of vendor stalls for art work and souvenirs
• Free time
• Visit the hilltop artistic mecca of the “mural makers” and tour the unique ceramics and crafts center for Cuban kids and families followed by our Farewell Cuba! dinner, evening show and dancing all hosted by the community – an evening to remember!
